This Jaguar XK120 Drop Head Coupe project is a fabulous opportunity to own a part of British Motoring history and bring it back to gracing the roads as it was intended to. These cars are viewed by many as the first ever Supercar especially as they were the fastest production car in the world at the time of debut in 1948.
This 1951 example has been with the current owner since the mid 70’s, he brought it back from New Zealand in 1981 and it was used regularly until starting a full restoration with CCCR at the beginning of this year. The owner has now decided to pass on this 120 to it’s next custodian who can bring the car back to life.
The body, as can be seen in the pictures, is well on the way to being restored, the car has a running gearbox and engine (non-matching numbers) and a complete interior with an authentic patina that can be reused.
The project is now ready to be taken up by an able enthusiast or alternatively CCCR would be delighted to accept instruction to continue with, and complete, the restoration of this fantastic automobile to the new owner’s specification.
For further information regarding the project and details of the car please contact us and we will be pleased to discuss this with you.
CCCR are privileged to be acting as the sales agent for the owner.
